Acapulco

In the Acapulco table clock, designed by George Sowden, functional quality and rationality combine with the emotional impact of decorative and chromatic verve.
Acapulco has solid geometric forms, two stacked cubes; nevertheless, the compositional rigor is broken up by the different sizing of the two solids, adorned by vibrant contrasting patterns. The extremely creative use of decorative laminate sets the character of this object-totem.
The red face is underscored by the frame in the same color; red also appears in the lightning bolts of the pattern of the “box” below. The hands and the hour markers have forceful rays, without numbers; at the center the overlap of the three hands is emphasized by a blue circle.

Table clock covered with decorative laminate. Limited edition of 30 pieces.
