In the concept of Chelsea by George J. Sowden, decoration plays a fundamental role to disrupt the formal stability of a traditional element: a double bed. The essential geometric interlocking structure, like that of a Japanese futon, is highlighted by the yellow-blue color of the base and the decorative patterned covering of the horizontal surface.
