“Ettore’s idea was to begin something new, in which we were free to design what we wanted, without tiresome negotiations with industrialists or marketing men. This led to Memphis. All our things had to have this dual functional role: an ergonomic character, but also an expressive, sculptural character,” says Michele De Lucchi. Horizon fully expresses this intent.
