The series of plates Indivia, Lettuce and Rucola designed by Sottsass in 1985 – all white with black graphic decorations representing portions of architectural drawings, for the first two, or small spots for Rucola – play in a surreal way with the names of vegetables that do not seem to correspond to the designs in terms or color or figuration. Is the reference to what will be eaten from the dish?
